Children’s Day Mae Sai: Video!
On Friday, January 11th, we celebrated Children’s Day at DEPDC Mae Sai. Everyone had a blast, and we made a fun video documenting many of our activities to share with you! Below is a brief description of how we spent the day. Please follow the link to view the video on YouTube!
The day included games, performances, and gifts! Everyone brought a small present in the morning, and each of these was numbered for a gift exchange later in the day. Students played all sorts of games, drew numbers in order to win prizes, and ate lots of sweets. Monks and a touring group from Bangkok also visited the school to recognize Children’s Day by giving out treats and prizes to the students. Many of the children performed dances for their peers, and everyone – students, relatives, teachers and administrators, visitors – gathered around to eat lunch together. A fun time was had by all, especially our students, as you can see in the video!
